The 70-member Marching Bearcat Band performs during pre-game and halftime at McKendree football games, entertains at the "Preview of Champions" high school contest (Sept. 28) and other campus activities, and keeps the crowd pumped during basketball season. Its annual "Live in Concert" performance is on Friday, Nov. 22.

McKendree University welcomes students enrolled this fall at its Lebanon, Ill., Louisville and Radcliff, Ky. campuses; the Center at Scott Air Force Base, off-site locations and online.

Six School of Education students are leading seventh and eighth graders in experimenting with the physics of sports the week of July 29 at a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) sports camp at Belle Valley School in Belleville, Ill. The program is a collaboration between the university and the Illinois Math and Science Academy. McKendree's teacher candidates completed weeks of online training in inquiry methods of teaching math and science before the five-day camp.
